The massive seven storey Seiyun or Kathiri Palace is one of the largest mud brick structures in the world, built in the 1920s as the residence of the sultan of Kathirir, and converted to a museum in 1984, it boasts dramatic rooftop balustrades, beneath a pale blue sky, in Seiyun, Yemen, part of the Hadhramaut governorate.
